Belmont Engineered Plastics is a growing plastic injection molding company looking to expand with new full-time team members! We’re looking for individuals that want to continue learning and growing with our company.
The Program Manager position will work with the Quality department as well as customers and engineers to coordinate project development and product launches. They will be responsible for providing customer response and support services for sales and engineering functions. They will coordinate the organization, integration, and completion of customer project, launches, and product changes.
PROGRAM MANAGER ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Work safely and actively support our facility through participation in safety audits, hazard identification and resolution, safety initiatives/teams and living the critical ten safety rules and three safety obligations.
- Customer Ownership / Leadership:
1) Response to immediate customer inquiries and requests.
2) Secondary Sales, both in person and verbally.
3) Negotiation of cost and product requirements / deliverables
4) Transparency with open issues, timelines and general status updates.
5) Contingency planning.
- Program Launch:
1) Responsible for leading project implementation through coordination of the APQP process, tool construction, sampling, documentation and submissions.
2) Document design intent, customer expectations, develop procedures and methods of project transfer to manufacturing.
3) Define scope of program to both company and its suppliers.
4) Manage multiple discipline engineering teams to meet internal and customer requirements such as TS16494, APQP, and AIAG.
5) Manage Cost model and tooling / equipment budget.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures and customer specifications.
- Participation and execution of Continuous Improvement / COPQ initiatives.
- Drive and implement Procedural systems development and improvement.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
CAPABILITIES:
- Knowledge of plastic part design and mold design.
- Experience in plastic injection molding and/or design for manufacturing
- Exposure to Quality systems, GD&T and meterology
- Experience with Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and rapidly adapt and respond to priority changes based on the needs of the business.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors of Science degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
- 5 plus years of experience in Program Management
- Previous experience in the automotive industry
- Certified Project Management Professional Certification preferred.
- Work experience – 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
